This weekend will be filled with both joy & grief. The celebration of the anniversary of my birth, and the celebration of a friend’s life — one who’s gone from this life way too soon. Bittersweetness.

For my birthday art purchase, about three or four years (probably three….), this was my choice. It’s HUGE, and I absolutely love it (about 30” x 45” or so… (I’m so bad with estimating sizes)). It’s still waiting to be framed, unfortunately (dunno why I haven’t gotten around to framing it), but will go on my dining room wall once it’s ready.

Every year, on my birthday, as a treat, I buy myself a nice piece of art. Something I really love and that makes me happy. I’m still on the look-out for this years purchase. I’m really looking forward to it, as I’ve skipped the past 2 years. This year outta be special :)

I’m not typically one to “celebrate” my own birthday, but this year, I feel a little different. There’s some great changes I want to make with this new, fresh start. Some of them I hope to share with you soon, here in my little space on the internet.
Until then, I’ll just say that with age, I only like more and more who I am and where I’m going.
